Karna, the archer who never refused a request, and the curse that followed him.

Full text of the story

Karna was born with golden armour and earrings that made him invincible, and was raised by a charioteer's family without knowing whose son he was. He became the finest archer of his age — and the most generous man in the epic: he never once refused anyone who asked him for anything.

The film follows that generosity to its end, when he gives away the armour that kept him alive.

For children of eight and up. Karna's story is the one that teaches, better than any other in the Mahabharata, that a good quality in the wrong company still leads to sorrow.
